The Kansas State Affairs Committee provides members with direct access to Kansas elected officials during the legislative session.

National budget and tax policy expert, Dr. Mike Leachman, with the national Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, has joined the presenters list for this Kansas State Affairs meeting at Kansas Clinical Research Center from 12-1:15 p.m.

Leachman has followed the Kansas story closely and will join Duane Goossen, (Kansas Center for Economic Growth) and Annie McKay (Kansas Action for Children). Together, they will discuss the impact of Kansas' unprecedented tax policy changes. McKay will also discuss the impact of the Kansas Tobacco Settlement, the importance of the settlement to early childhood education, and future opportunities for early learning in Kansas.
