Celebration of the Army's 242nd Birthday

KCAUSA hosts Celebration of the 242nd Birthday of the United States Army! 

DAY Activities: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the National WW I Museum
  • patriotic band concert (35th ID Band)  - historic flags display  - information tables of local warrior-support organizations
  • reduced admission cost to the museum for military  - VA Mobile Center
Band, Flag display, and tables are inside the museum; VA Mobile Center will be outside in the parking lot.

EVENING Activities: 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM at the Marriott-Downtown (Muehlebach Tower)
  • VIP Reception in the historic Muehlebach Lobby: 4:00 PM
  • Flag Retreat Ceremony at Barney Allis Plaza: 5:00 PM
  • Cocktails and Socializing: 5:30 PM
  • Formal program: 6:30 PM
The formal program will include recognition of the 100th Anniversary of the US entering WW I, an enlistment of Future Soldiers, honor and recognition of past, present, and future Soldiers, a great guest speaker, some door prizes and we'll end the evening with dancing and socializing.
