In 1976, the KC Chamber launched a new program designed to prepare Kansas City’s leaders of tomorrow. They called it the Centurions Leadership program. Throughout 2017, in honor of the Centurions 40th Anniversary, we’ll be sharing some of the stories of Centurions alumni.
It is not a trivial investment, but the return (from Centurions) is invaluable. The professional networking is unique and cult-like…in a great way. The relationships are personal and continue to grow well after graduation.
Centurions taught me how to ask for help and in turn, how to connect others. We have so many great resources in and around Kansas City, you just have learn how to connect the dots. The Centurions program is a master class in Kansas City. There are so many nonprofit organizations that need assistance and in two years so many were revealed, but it was just scratching the surface.”
