CENTURIONS CANDIDATE INTERVIEW SIGN UPS – READ CAREFULLY

The Recruiting Committee continues to work hard to recruit exceptional candidates for the Fall Class of 2022. At this point in time, the application deadline is still June 1. We encourage you to continue to personally reach out to your networks, and if you know of a great candidate, please send their name and information to Katherine Lee (lee.katherine.m@gmail.com).

If you would like to participate in interviewing applicants between June 8-19, currently scheduled to be held at the KC Chamber offices, sign-up is now available! We will remain flexible if the situation dictates moving to a contingency plan (i.e. virtual interviews). Each candidate will be allotted a 25-minute interview. Interviewers will be made up of actives and alumni volunteers. Be prepared to interview as few as one or as many as five applicants during your selected time slot and stick around following the completion of interviews to debrief with KC Chamber staff.

Additional details will be emailed out closer to the time of interviews, but don't forget to hold your time slot on your calendar. If you need to cancel at any time, please provide at least one week's notice so that we can replace your spot with another interviewer.

Ready to sign-up? There are limited timeslots available for actives so sign-up for ONE slot as soon as you can here >>. Interview slots are limited, and once all fall actives have been given the opportunity to sign-up to interview, any remaining timeslots will be open for people to take multiple shifts. If you are a graduating second-year, please still sign up under “Active.”

THE CENTURIONS FALL 2020-2021 LEGACY PROJECT APPLICATION IS NOW OPEN!

The Centurions Legacy Project application window is now open until May 1. Don’t miss your chance for your organization to be a part of this amazing program!

Every year the Centurions select a Legacy Project, with the intent to bring a long-lasting benefit to the Kansas City community. The committee plans, leads, and organizes Centurion volunteers to participate in and complete the project.

While every project is unique, Centurions provide several hundred skilled volunteer hours, several thousand dollars, and tremendous, visibility to community leaders. Additionally, we leverage all of our relationships across the city to secure in-kind donations and sponsorships for our projects – in some instances these contributions are enormous. Projects can be short, or last as long as ten months to complete. Apply here >>

ONLINE AND NEW TIME: NONPROFIT BOARD BASICS

Many Centurions serve or plan to serve on a board to have a substantial and ongoing impact in our community. Board service is also an effective way to grow your professional network and develop leadership skills.

Set yourself up for success! This is your chance to get the answers to all the questions you have, and some you didn’t even know you had, about serving on a nonprofit board. Luann Feehan, President & CEO of Nonprofit Connect, will explore the basics, challenges and trends of board service.
