FALL START CENTURIONS - CIVIL LEADERSHIP
Learning how to foster an environment insulated from that polarization where we can learn from one another despite our different political persuasions is critical to our leadership development. On March 16 at 11:30 a.m., Mary Sanchez and David Oliver will guide us through a discussion on how we can do better and provide a better example for others. It is imperative to foster an environment where different opinions and ideas are respected. But that challenge is not unique to Centurions. The consequences of a polarized political climate are evident in all types of organizations -- from the companies where we work to the boards where we serve. Register here >>

REMINDER: SIGN UP TO ACCESS SERVICE PROJECTS ON VOLUNTEERMARK
All volunteer opportunities are now open to both classes and are on a first-come, first-served basis. We have moved to one calendar on VolunteerMark that everyone will use to sign up for opportunities. This was the overwhelming feedback that volunteer opportunities are a great way to have both classes connect. This also means that opportunities are open “year-round” for everyone, which we will track by program year (Fall: July 1-June 30 and Spring: Feb 1-Jan 31).
Ready to serve? Check out VolunteerMark for a few opportunities that are still in need of volunteers. Check the calendar regularly as new projects are added weekly and look for newsletter announcements or GroupMe to sign-up for projects in which spots still need to be filled.
Upcoming Projects In Need of Volunteers:
- March 4: Happy Bottoms
- March 4: Junior Achievement in a Day Teaching Opportunity
- March 6: Red, Wine, & Blue Folds of Honor Wine Tasting
- March 10: Champions for Health Youth Summit
- March 14: Habitat for Humanity of KC Restore
- March 14: HOpeBUILDERS Ramp Project
- March 16: Harvesters
- March 16: Uplift
- March 23: MO DECA State Career Development Conference
