Feeling festive? Join us for a jolly good time on December 10, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. at The Maverick for the annual Centurions Actives and Alumni Holiday Social where we will toast the season and celebrate another year of Centurions. We will also be collecting donations for The Children’s Place, a specialized trauma treatment center serving the mental health needs of young children. Registration is required to attend. Lakeside Nature Center serves the public as both an educational and recreational resource. Most importantly, it serves as one of Missouri’s largest wildlife rehabilitation facilities. Join your fellow Centurions at this award-winning facility to learn more about the ways Lakeside Nature Center serves and protects wildlife. We’ll also hear first-hand about issues facing wildlife today in Kansas City and ways you can help. Join us for a powerful and insightful journey through the history of residential segregation in Kansas City during our Redline Bus Tour, based on the acclaimed audio guide, Dividing Lines. This tour, narrated by ethnographer and host of the “Wide Ruled” podcast, Nathaniel Bozarth, will provide a deep dive into the far-reaching impacts of segregation, primarily through its effects on real estate across the Kansas City metro area. Our friends at First Watch will host a training and discussion to address the growing opiate crisis in Kansas City. DEADLINE EXTENDED! PINNACLE 2024-2025 LEGACY PROJECT APPLICATION OPEN
Each year, the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions Leadership Program plans, leads, and mobilizes Centurions volunteers to complete a Legacy Project for one Kansas City nonprofit, with the intent to bring a long-lasting benefit to the Kansas City community. While every project is unique, Centurions provide 250+ skilled volunteer hours, several thousand dollars, and unmatched visibility for your organization. Projects can be short or may take as long as ten months to complete. The project application and more information can be found HERE!

ALUMNI GIVEBACK: ‘TIS THE SEASON OF GIVING
The Alumni Projects Committee has put together a unique and fun opportunity to stay engaged in local nonprofit organizations and give back this fall. Alumni GiveBack BINGO highlights the “Serve” pillar of the Centurions Leadership Program, with activities like volunteering, donating, and sharing experiences on social media. The tasks were selected to include a mix of hands-on service and support for local nonprofits.
For those who submit completed BINGO cards, you’ll be entered into drawings for special prizes! Winners will be announced at the 2024 Active & Alumni Holiday Party.
How to Play:
- Print the Bingo card attached HERE and track completed activities throughout November.
- All activities must be completed between Nov 1-30.
- To WIN: Complete 5 activities horizontal, diagonal, or all 4 corners.

On the form, include the code “AD-2024” when it requests an invoice number, and include your first and last name in the notes section so we can pair each payment to the appropriate alumnus. If you registered for the Alumni Breakfast you already paid your dues for the upcoming year as part of the fees.
