Spectrum Promotes Cable Veteran John Sullivan to Area Vice President of Field Operations for Kansas City and Nebraska

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jan. 28, 2021 — Spectrum announced John Sullivan has been promoted to Area Vice President of Field Operations for the company’s Kansas City and Nebraska service area. Sullivan, who will be based in Kansas City, previously served as Director of Engineering for the company’s South Manhattan service area in New York City.

“John has a powerful combination of technical knowledge and customer service expertise to help strengthen our field operations and better support our customers,” said Pete Hall, Spectrum Regional Vice President of Field Operations. “We are confident his leadership will help us continue to deliver a superior customer and network experience throughout the communities we serve in the Greater Kansas City and Nebraska markets.”

As Area Vice President, Sullivan will report to Hall and lead the field operations workforce, including the local technicians who perform installation and service calls in customers’ homes and businesses, as well as maintenance, design and construction of local broadband networks.

Sullivan joined Spectrum in 2014 and has nearly 15 years of industry experience holding various supervisory, management and leadership positions. He is a graduate of the SCTE Industry Management Development Program at Georgia Tech and holds a Master Fiber Technician certification from The Fiber School (TFS).

Since acquiring the Kansas City and Nebraska cable systems in May 2016, Spectrum has completed an all-digital upgrade and has launched gigabit connections and starting broadband speeds of at least 200 Mbps for residential customers and small business clients. With major operations centers in Kansas City, the company is currently hiring in a variety of area roles, many with starting wages of $16.50 an hour, part of the company’s commitment to a $20 starting wage in 2022.
