David Warm, for 30 years Executive Director of the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC), was named the KC Chamber’s 2020 “Kansas Citian of the Year” at the KC Chamber’s Annual Dinner Tuesday. “Our honoree can best be described as a ‘servant leader’ – a man who has worked tirelessly for the benefit of our region,” said Alvin Brooks, 2019 Kansas Citian of the Year as he presented the award. KC Chamber Supports KS Governor Laura Kelly's Mask Enforcement

The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce supports Kansas Governor Laura Kelly’s decision to enforce mask-wearing in Kansas. Science has proven that masks work in reducing the spread of COVID-19. Data shows wearing a mask is the best way to support small businesses across our region. A reduced spread means businesses have a better chance of keeping their doors open. Frontline medical workers are dealing with a surge of new cases. Hospitals are running low on staff and ICU beds to treat those cases. Read Article

KC Chamber Officers’ Terms Extended for One Year

With uncertainty around the COVID-19 pandemic and the future state of the economy, the KC Chamber Board has opted for continuity in leadership. New officer and Board member terms begin November 1 every year. But this year, the Board approved extending the terms of Chamber officers for another year.
