FROM THE KC CHAMBER'S PRESIDENT AND CEO After months of preparation, Kansas City made a great case for our selection as a host city for the 2026 World Cup. Officials from the FIFA Selection Committee heard a formal presentation, enjoyed a barbecue lunch, and toured local facilities (including Arrowhead) that would be put to use in 2026. Their visit ended with a game between the U.S. Women’s Team vs. Korea at Children’s Mercy Park. The game ended in a tie, but the FIFA officials were able to see firsthand the enthusiasm of KC soccer fans. Read Article

The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s World Trade Center Kansas City will be able to help even more KC businesses strengthen their global trade presence and create high quality jobs. United States Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo has awarded the Chamber a 2021 Market Development Cooperator Program grant to boost international exports. Read Article

This Thursday, FIFA officials will be in town touring our city as they decide whether KC will be one of the host cities for the 2026 World Cup. Kansas City is one of 17 finalists; 10 will be selected to host World Cup matches. Read Article
