HCA Midwest Health Announces Grant To YMCA Of Greater Kansas City To Aid In COVID-19 Relief Efforts

Community partner receives funding from Kansas City’s leading healthcare provider to support essential healthcare worker childcare services they offer community.

Overland Park, KSHCA Midwest Health, an affiliate of HCA Healthcare (NYSE: HCA), one of the nation’s leading healthcare providers, today announced that the HCA Healthcare Foundation, the philanthropic arm of HCA Healthcare, and a tax exempt trust affiliated with HCA Healthcare, will provide more than $1 million in grants nationwide to local community organizations to aid in COVID-19 relief efforts.

The one-time grants have been distributed to community partners that are focused on the COVID-19 emergency response. HCA Midwest Health, through a tax-exempt trust affiliated with HCA Healthcare, will grant $75,000 to support the YMCA of Greater Kansas City in providing essential healthcare worker childcare services.

“The Kansas City community is joining together to respond to the coronavirus pandemic in extraordinary ways,” says Mel Lagarde III, chief executive officer and president of HCA Midwest Health. “We are proud to support community organizations like the YMCA of Greater Kansas City, food banks and emergency responders that are working hard to address the critical needs of our community during this challenging time.”
