Harvesters—The Community Food Network is pleased to announce it has promoted Monic Houpe to the position of Chief Operating Officer for the organization. She assumed her new role October 1. Houpe previously served as Harvesters’ Director of Agency Partnerships and Capacity. She replaces Stephen Davis, who is now Harvesters’ President and CEO. As COO, she will serve on the Executive Leadership team and will lead the following areas: Community Impact, Operations, and Quality Assurance. Read Article

Oct. 5, 2022 – (Lenexa, Kan.) – Representatives from Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company attended Olathe’s City Council meeting last evening to review benefit district infrastructure needs specific to their intended development of a 150-acre property in the community. Heartland is pursuing a plan to build a nearly 600,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Production Campus in Olathe, Kan. Slated to open late 2024, it will significantly expand current production capabilities. Read Article

I am very pleased to announce that we have recently earned several Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) Badges from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). These CHQR badges recognize health centers that have made notable quality improvement achievements in the areas of access, quality, health equity, health information technology, and COVID-19 public health emergency response for the most recent Uniform Data System (UDS) reporting period.
