Bar K Hosting All-Day Event on International Homeless Animals Day to Help Address Crisis in Local Animal Rescue Community

The rescue community in Kansas City is in crisis. There are too many animals in need, straining limited resources. One recent day, the City’s animal shelter housed 280 animals; its optimum number is 140-150. Some days they receive 40-60 new animals, while adopting out as few as five. Other local shelters are in a similarly dire situation. As a result, through the first half of this year, euthanasia in shelters is up a heartbreaking 150%. Read Article

In July, we hosted our inaugural Heartland Export Accelerator Public Showcase. Graduates of the program presented to attendees on their companies and what they learned in the program. It was a great evening of learning and connecting. We are currently recruiting for the Fall cohort of the Heartland Export Accelerator. Applications are due on August 25th. Read Article

2023 Fall Parade of Homes to be Bigger than Fall 2022

KANSAS CITY, MO – July 31, 2023 – The Fall Parade of Homes being held Sept. 23 through Oct. 8 offers the opportunity to see one of the largest and most impressive displays of new homes in the country. Sponsored by Mike Bryant Heating & Cooling, the fall parade will feature 337 homes in eight counties built by 100 of the KC area’s finest builders. Last year the Parade hosted just 269 homes.
