Kansas City, MO (April 17, 2021) – Kathleen Whalen Andrews, former vice chairman of Kansas City-based media company Andrews McMeel Universal and chief executive officer of Andrews McMeel Publishing, and founding director of The Andrews Family Foundation, passed away April 16, 2021, announced Andrews McMeel Universal (AMU) Chairman Emeritus John McMeel and AMU Chief Executive Officer Andy Sareyan. She was 84 years old.

The idea of opening a new business during a global pandemic might leave a lot of people saying “no thank you.” But not for Robbyn Mitchell, who opened The Little Gym in the Northland in July 2020. The Little Gym is a children’s gym that offers gymnastics classes, dance classes, and more. It’s one of 440 nationwide, and the Northland location was the first one to open after the global pandemic began last March.

With nearly 30 million confirmed diagnoses of COVID-19 in the U.S., countless people are still suffering from the long-term effects of the disease. While most people recover with no long-term health effects, around 10% develop additional symptoms later on in the recovery process.
