The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City proudly endorse the Kansas City Public Schools (KCPS) bond measure set for a vote on April 8, 2025. This initiative represents the district’s first bond measure since 1967 and addresses over $1 billion in deferred maintenance and renovation needs.
The proposed bond aims to improve over 40 schools by addressing urgent facility needs, enhancing security measures, and upgrading learning environments to meet modern educational standards. These improvements include the addition of science labs and tools to expand opportunities, improved facilities and classrooms to support learning and safety, and promoting the health of children throughout our community.
Investing in educational infrastructure is crucial for the success of our students and the vitality of our community. We encourage all community members to learn more about the proposed projects and participate in the upcoming election. Together, we can create high-quality and safe learning spaces for all students, aligning with KCPS’s long-term strategic Blueprint 2030 plan.
Remember, Election Day is April 8, and the last day to register to vote is March 12. For more information on the bond measure and how to get involved, please visit www.kcpsbond.org.
