Our Public Policy advocacy work helps build the foundation for both a business-friendly climate and an exceptional quality of life in Kansas City, which will lead us to a thriving workforce and a vigorous, diverse economy that is prosperous for all.
The advocacy work is successful when we lean into the Chamber’s strengths of convening and collaboration. We create opportunities for our members to connect with their elected leaders and share experiences and insight that can help solve problems and shape policymaking decisions.
The KC Chamber’s Public Policy Council is available for businesses interested in additional higher-level engagement opportunities.

Here are the state policy agendas that have been developed with member and stakeholder input and will guide our efforts in 2025.
The KC Chamber is a member of the Heartland Civic Collaborative, which includes the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City, the Des Moines Partnership, Greater St. Louis Inc., and the Greater Omaha Chamber, collaborating on federal issues in a unified way to elevate and advance the growth of our larger region.
KC Chamber policy leaders take part in the KC Chamber’s biennial Fly-In and Advocacy Mission to Washington D.C. in even-numbered years. The next mission will take place in early 2026. For more information about the DC Fly-In, contact Ava Delsemme at adelsemme@kcchamber.com.
The KC Chamber’s biennial congressional staff benchmarking tour and workshop, Spotlight on Greater Kansas City, will be held in August 2025.
The Chamber will host Capitol Hill staffers for this unique exploration of priorities and opportunities in our two-state region. For more information about Spotlight on Greater Kansas City, contact Ava Delsemme at adelsemme@kcchamber.com.
