State of Aviation | Immigrant Economic And Workforce Summit | Strengthening Resilience Workshop | and more...

FROM THE KC CHAMBER’S PRESIDENT AND CEO

Kansas City’s aviation industry is taking off—and with it, our region’s economic momentum. That’s why we’re convening the top minds and decision-makers shaping the future of air travel for The State of Aviation, Thursday, April 17, from 8:30 to 10 a.m., in the KC Chamber Board Room inside Union Station (30 W. Pershing Rd., KCMO).

We’re honored to welcome keynote speaker Dr. John Tomblin of Wichita State University, a nationally recognized leader in aerospace innovation and executive director of the National Institute for Aviation Research. Dr. Tomblin will offer compelling insights into the technologies transforming air travel, today’s workforce demands, and how Kansas City businesses can engage with the rapidly evolving aviation sector.

I’ll also moderate a dynamic panel of aviation leaders — from Kansas City International Airport to Johnson County to Southwest Airlines — covering passenger trends, new nonstop routes, private aviation, international travel, and the broader impact on Kansas City’s growth and global reach. Whether you’re in business, logistics, or simply passionate about aviation, this event is for you.

This is more than a conversation; it’s a front-row seat to the forces shaping our region’s future. Aviation is fueling opportunity, strengthening connections, and positioning Kansas City as a gateway to the world. Seats are limited, and interest is soaring. Reserve yours now to be in the room where our aviation future takes flight.

IMMIGRANT ECONOMIC AND WORKFORCE SUMMIT

You’re invited to attend the Immigrant Economic and Workforce Summit on Friday, April 25, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the KC Chamber Board Room in Union Station (30 W. Pershing Rd., KCMO, next door to Pierponts) to hear about the significant political and social challenges that immigrants and refugees face in their efforts to integrate and thrive in the Kansas City community.

Attendees will engage in an honest discussion with elected officials from Missouri and Kansas, as well as leaders from resettlement agencies and other organizations. The summit will explore the complexities of the immigration system and the specific needs of newcomers, including limited access to legal documentation, language barriers, discrimination, and the threat of deportation. These issues often hinder stable employment and community acceptance for immigrants and refugees. Register today!
