FROM THE KC CHAMBER’S PRESIDENT AND CEO
Reflecting on our 137th Annual Dinner, I am filled with pride and gratitude. After reading comments online and visiting with those who attended, this year’s theme, “We Believe in Kansas City,” struck a chord with those in the room, reminding us of the unwavering faith we share in our region’s potential and our hope for the future. You can watch our opening video now to feel the mood of the night.
One of the most inspiring moments came when KC Royals shortstop Bobby Witt, Jr. took the stage. His words echoed the same passion and belief we all feel for Kansas City. Bobby spoke about the incredible energy of our region, the warmth of our people, and the importance of believing in something bigger than ourselves. His optimism, paired with his love for the city he represents, truly resonated with all in attendance, particularly when Bobby spoke about the strong feeling of home he’s found in our community.
We also had the privilege of honoring the 2024 Kansas Citians of the Year—Peggy and Terry Dunn—who exemplify what it means to believe in this community. These two remarkable leaders have shown a deep commitment to our region, driving progress, innovation, and opportunity for all. They are, without a doubt, among the biggest believers in Kansas City, and their contributions inspire us to keep striving for excellence. If you haven’t seen their video reveal, you can watch it here.
This event wasn’t just a celebration of our shared achievements but a powerful reminder of what is possible when we come together with a common purpose. As we move forward, let us continue to believe in Kansas City and all that we can accomplish together.
