FROM THE KC CHAMBER’S PRESIDENT AND CEO
At the KC Chamber, we believe that safety is the cornerstone of a thriving community and successful business environment. That’s why I’m excited to share another upcoming opportunity to engage in meaningful crime prevention efforts right here in Kansas City.
On November 1, 2024, KC United for Public Safety, and partnering organizations throughout the region, are working with the Kansas City Missouri Police Department to host a free “Thrive and Protect” Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) training. This session will provide valuable insights into how we can enhance the security of our neighborhoods and workplaces by strategically designing our physical spaces to deter crime.
CPTED is a proactive approach to safety that emphasizes the importance of urban planning, design, and management in reducing crime and improving the overall quality of life in our communities. Whether you own a business, manage a property, or want to contribute to safer environments, this training offers practical tools and strategies that you can implement immediately.
