FROM THE KC CHAMBER'S PRESIDENT AND CEO Today marks the opening (in my opinion) of one of Union Station’s most important exhibitions: “Auschwitz. Not long ago. Not far away.” It’s a collection of more than 700 original objects and 400 photographs, the most comprehensive exhibition dedicated to the history of Auschwitz and its role in the Holocaust ever presented in North America. Business does have a role in public health. There are a number of ways to help: sharing information with our employees, offering paid time off for the time necessary to get vaccinated and for dealing with any of the minor side-effects; getting creative with incentives; directing employees to locations where they can get their shot. Despite the fact that Missourians voted to approve a Constitutional amendment calling for Medicaid expansion last summer, legislators in the Missouri House rejected any funding to enact the measure. Last week, a Missouri Senate committee failed to include the required funding as well. Read Article
