The Folly Jazz Series is Moving Out of 2020

As the Folly staff continues to stay ever observant on the COVID-19 health regulations we have determined that moving forward with the previously scheduled October 17 and December 12 Folly Jazz concerts wouldn’t make sense both for health safety and financial reasons. Only being able to seat approximately 200 patrons when socially-distanced would make it difficult to cover our most basic costs for each concert. The October 17 Karrin Allyson concert will be moved to January 22 and the December 12 David Benoit concert has been postponed until next season. Read Article

BioNexus KC Awarded Grant to Improve COVID-19 Outcomes for Patients with Underlying Health Conditions

KANSAS CITY, MO – BioNexus KC has been awarded a $42,900 grant from the Health Forward Foundation to collaborate with Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center and Helix Health in using advanced data analytics to improve outcomes of patients who are at increased risk of COVID-19 complications due to underlying chronic conditions and socioeconomic disparities. The prestigious group of women leaders receiving the ATHENA Awards has grown by two. The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2020 ATHENA Leadership Award will go to Karen Daniel, former Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer and President of the Global Finance & Technology Solutions division for Black & Veatch.
