And our American Jazz Museum gets a donation from the Nashville Area Chamber and the Titans, thanks to a bet we placed with the Nashville Chamber.

Lenexa, Ks. – Nabholz Corporation recently announced a change in leadership for its Kansas presence. Effective January 1st, Jon Pahl, former president of the Kansas operation, assumed his new role as Nabholz’ first corporate director of innovation. Jeff Gattis, a seasoned project executive from the company’s Northwest Arkansas operation, has been named as the Kansas operation’s new president.

Kansas City Zoo: The Kansas City Zoo has been monitoring the heartbreaking situation in Australia as fires are deeply impacting communities and wildlife. Across that nation’s bushfire-affected areas, it is estimated that as many as one billion animals, including critically endangered species, have perished with the full impact impossible to determine.

Crosby Kemper III, who helped redefine the role of public libraries in nearly 15 years as executive director of the Kansas City Public Library, is assuming leadership of the Washington, D.C.-based Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The U.S. Senate on Thursday, January 9, 2020, confirmed his nomination as director by President Donald Trump.

Thanks and applause to Missouri Governor Mike Parson. He did the right thing last week sending a letter to U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo giving the state’s consent as a location to settle legal refugees. His action was made necessary by President Donald Trump’s September executive order giving states and local governments the option to accept or refuse refugees.
